SCHOOL'S OUT!!!!!

Well, school's out and graduation is over....I've been so busy the last couple of months, that it feels kind of strange to have free time. My son loved his graduation quilt that I gave him with the photos...I'm so glad that I made it. I know he will treasure it for many years.

I'm planning to work on some UFOs now that I'm not working. I also want to get some scrapbooking done. That's another of my expensive hobbies. Oh well, you've got to spend money on something,Right?????

I have a friend who just bought a Pfaff quilting machine. I told her to let me know when she gets it set up...I'd love to see how it works. I don't have room for one, but I know it would be great to have. Maybe then I wouldn't have so many tops in bags and more of them quilted and on a bed!

Here's a picture of my boys..we had a cookout after graduation and he opened some gifts.

Life Gets In The Way

Well, it's been almost a month since I finished my oldest son's quilt top for his graduation gift and I still don't have it quilted. I don't really feel like I have procrastinated.....I've just been really busy.
I'm a teacher and we've had state mandated testing, and tons of "finish out the year" things to do. I also spent the last week of April as a chaperone on Josh's Senior trip. (I teach at his school.) We went to Washington,D.C., New York City, and stopped by Virginia Beach on the way back home. It was an awesome trip and the kids had a great time. Here's a pic of us outside the theatre before we saw"The Phantom of the Opera." His prom was this weekend and graduation is two weeks from today. (I've got to get busy with his quilt.)
I just can't believe how fast this school year has gone. I have another wonderful son who is 14 and in the eighth grade. I know the next four years that he'll be in high school will fly by too.
The other picture is of my husband and both of my boys on Easter Sunday.
