Great American Ballpark

I just wanted to show a picture of me with my family at one of their favorite places....Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati. We go to see the Reds every chance we get. This particular game had a rain delay and we later learned that Tom Hanks, Ron Howard, and Dennis Miller were all in attendance. (Part of Hanks celebrating his 50th, he went to several ball parks with his friends.) It was pretty cool, even though we only saw them from a distance.

Dreamin' of a White Christmas

Okay, it looks like I've gotten my holidays mixed up. This is Labor Day weekend and I'm posting Winter/Christmas quilts.
I just finished machine quilting the redwork snowman quilt and I remembered that it's been exactly a year since I started it. I went to a local discount fabric store on Labor Day 2005 and found the red/white snowman fabric. (actually my sister found it for me.) I've worked on it periodically over the year and now it's ready for use.
The other top I'm showing is one of Bonnie Hunter's patterns from www.quiltville.com I think it's called Strip Twist. My sister, mother, and I got together one night, shared our Christmas fabrics, cut the strips, and assembly lined these quilts. It's really a BUSY quilt , but I like it anyway. Now to get it quilted before Christmas.
I haven't posted in a long time, but I do enjoy reading about what everyone else is doing. I really need to get more involved with my posts too.
